Description: This half-day workshop is designed for Visiting Fellows from low- and middle-income countries who (1) will be returning to their home countries to continue biomedical research and (2) have had at least 2 years of training at the NIH. Topics will include:

• The process of obtaining funding.
• The anatomy of a grant application.
• Designing saleable objectives & hypotheses.
• Presenting your research plan.
• The review process & how to respond to criticisms.
• Electronic submission information.

NOTE: Bring a draft of the specific aims for your proposal with you.
