The GSC Community Service Committee is very excited to bring you the first Graduate Student Blood Drive. The event will be Wednesday, March 5 at the Clinical Center Blood Bank. In the coming weeks we'll be circulating a sign-up sheet so that you can reserve a time slot or go with a friend, but in the mean time we wanted to answer some common questions about eligibility for blood donation here at the NIH.
- The Blood Bank WILL accept your blood if you have lived overseas (but not Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Niger or Nigeria).
- They WILL NOT accept your blood if you have gotten a tattoo or piercing in the last 12 months.
