Interpreting Services Request System
The Division of Employee Services (DOES), is the centralized
provider of interpreting services to the NIH. If you
want to know more about how to request interpreters
hints and tips for using interpreters, you may access
our NIH Interpreting Services Consumer Manual on-line. You also can contact us to
receive a printed copy of the Manual.
In order to best meet your interpreting services requirements,
we recommend that all requests be submitted at least
five (5) business days prior to the start of your event.
Request Interpreting Services
Creates an Interpreting Services Request for a single
event or ongoing (reoccurring) requirement.
Each request generates a confirmation receipt
providing the user
with a unique Requestor Tracking Number (always
begins with TERP-). First time requestors
will be directed to establish an account
prior to submitting a request.
Check Status of Your Interpreting Services Request
Enter your unique Requestor Tracking Number
and the status of your request will be displayed.
The status will indicate
either "CONFIRMED" (scheduled with SLA) or "UNCONFIRMED" (pending
SLA verification). It will also let you know the interpreter
that has been assigned to your request.
Change Your Interpreting Services Request
Allows you to change a particular request by
entering your unique Tracking Number and
a text message indicating the changes required.
A DOES staff member will contact the vendor
prior to updating the database. Changes cause
status to revert to "CHANGE PENDING" until
verification with SLA.
Cancel Your Interpreting Services Request
Allows you to cancel an Interpreting Services
Request. Please go to this site at least 48 hours prior to an event.
Enter the Requestor Tracking Number and the reason for cancellation.
If less than 48 hours, please contact the DOES office.
(The NIH is charged for any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice.)
