S. 1019—The Universal Health Care Choice and Access Act

On March 28, 2007, Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) introduced S. 1019, the Universal Health Care Choice and Access Act, to reform the health care system in the United States. Of interest to the Agency is the establishment of an interagency coordinating committee to develop a national strategic plan for prevention, of which the Director of NIH would be a member. S. 1019 was referred to the Senate Committee on Finance.
