What We Do
The Office of Women's Health facilitates NCI’s research and research-related programs on cancers in women by:
Identifying Gaps and Addressing Opportunities
- Assist NCI staff in identifying gaps and opportunities across NCI research and research-related activities on cancers in women.
- Provide information, consultation, and facilitate implementation of strategies to address research gaps and opportunities.
- Assist in support of NCI career development and training activities to increase capacity for advancing progress on cancers in women.
Providing Updated Information
- Develop and disseminate reports and information on NCI’s research and research progress on cancers in women.
- Assist with and coordinate responses to agency information requests about cancers in women.
- Maintain and update a public portal website.
Facilitating Collaboration & Partnership
- Identify and bring together potential partners for collaborations across NCI’s divisions, offices, and centers.
- Link NCI staff to collaborations across other NIH Institutes and Centers, Federal agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
- Facilitate interactions between applicants and NCI program staff to respond to trans-NIH women’s health research initiatives.
