CTN Logo The Clinical Trials Network (CTN) was established in 1999 under a cooperative agreement and involves the Center for the Clinical Trials Network at NIDA, 16 university-based Nodes, a Coordinating Center, a Statistics Center, and more than 150 Community Treatment Programs (CTPs).

Mission

  • Conduct multi-site clinical trials to determine the effectiveness of drug abuse treatment interventions in diverse community-based treatment settings and diverse patient populations.
  • Transfer research results to treatment programs, clinicians, and their patients to improve the quality of drug abuse treatment throughout the Nation.
