NIH Women’s Health Postdoctoral Fellowship

This is a fellowship designed to facilitate collaborations, through co-mentored projects, between laboratories in the NIH intramural programs that are working in areas of research involving women’s health.

Research opportunities include one or a combination of basic research, translational research, epidemiological research, biomedical history, or biomedical bioinformatics research. Fellows will attend all lab meetings as well as the Women’s Health Scientific Interest Group lectures.

Fellowships are available to doctoral-level fellows within 5 years of receipt of the doctoral degree (based on NIH IRTA/CRTA fellowship with comparable stipend). Must be U. S. citizen or permanent resident.

Fellowship includes:

  • stipend
  • travel to one scientific meeting per year
  • a supplies and services budget for the laboratory
  • money for additional training, to ensure sufficient
  • scientific/medical background through advanced coursework
