FINAL REMINDER - NIH Perimeter Security System Operational on Monday, August 29

The NIH Perimeter Security System (PSS or “the fence”) will be operational on Monday morning, August 29, 2005.

**Employee vehicle and pedestrian entrances will require electronic verification of your NIH ID badge at the card readers for entry.   Test your ID badge before August 29 at any of the six validation stations on and off campus.  See http://www.security.nih.gov/IDreminder.htm

**The NIH Police, Security Guards and additional ORS staff will be posted at every vehicle and pedestrian entrance to assist you, answer your questions and provide informative handouts about the Perimeter Security System.

**ORS Security and Emergency Response staff will be closely monitoring operations throughout next week and will make adjustments as necessary to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.

We appreciate your cooperation and feedback during this week's equipment testing and next week's implementation.  Questions or comments?  Contact the ORS Information Line at orsinfo@mail.nih.gov , 301 594-6677, TTY 301-435-1908.
