Tuition: |
Tuition fees are determined on a sliding scale based on a family's annual income.
$530.00 - $680.00 every 2 weeks for children in the Infant Suite.
$416.00 - $536.00 every 2 weeks for children in the Two-Year-Old Suite.
$340.00 - $438.00 every 2 weeks for children in Preschool, Pre-K & Kindergarten
$191.00 every 2 weeks for children in After School care only.
$224.00 every 2 weeks for children in Before/After School care.
$468.00 per 2-week session for children in Summer Camp
Summer camp programs for school age children
are offered in two-week sessions for a total of 5 sessions.

Fees: |
A $25.00 registration fee is required.
A $25.00 re-registration fee is due each year for school-age
children (6 - 12 yrs.)
A $3.00 - $9.00 activity fee will be required for each special activity/field trip occurring during the school year.
A $20.00 activity fee will be required during the summer months for preschoolers and kindergartners.
Activity fees are included in the summer tuition for school age children.

Deposit: |
A deposit equal your child(ren)'s two week tuition is required upon acceptance of enrollment. This deposit is credited to your child(ren)'s account when your child(ren) are withdrawn from the center with a thirty (30) days notice. |

Busing Accommodations: |
The Center has a contact with the Montgomery County Public Schools to provide morning and afternoon busing for children attending Wyngate Elementary, Luxmanor Elementary, Farmland Elementary, and Garrett Park Elementary schools. Afternoon busing for children attending Tilden Middle School is provided. |

About ECDC, Inc. |
|
History:
In 1975, ECDC originally started as Parents of Preschoolers,
Inc. (POPI), a parent corporation on the NIH campus in Building
35. As the need for before and after school care for children
in grades 1 through 6 became critical for working families,
in 1976, an after school program was established to accommodate
20 children at the Arylawn Elementary School on Oakmont Avenue,
one block west of the NIH campus. Within the next 5 years,
additional after school programs and a preschool program were
established to provide child care services for 100 children
and NIH families.
With the closing of the Arylawn Elementary School in 1981,
the extended POPI program merged with another nearby before
and after school program in the Arylawn Building. This merger
increased the program's capacity to 180 children. In 1982,
the Arylawn site reincorporated as a parent non-profit organization
called the Nettie Ottenberg Memorial Child Care Center, Inc.
(NOMCCC). The new Center resided at the Arylawn building until
their lease expired in 1995. With the growing need for child
care services, NIH secured a new 25,000 sq. ft. home for the
Center. In June 1995, NOMCCC relocated to Executive Boulevard
in Rockville, Maryland. The new facility allowed the program
to increase its enrollment capacity to 265 children. In the
summer of 1995 NOMCCC renamed its program to the Executive
Child Development Center, Inc.
Philosophy:
ECDC provides a warm, nurturing and safe environment where
children get to do what children like to do: play games, learn
new skills, and talk with friends. We offer a curriculum program
that allows children to learn at their own rate and make their
own choices. There is a wide range of activities including
sports, games, long-term activities, and most importantly,
projects generated by the children's needs, interests and abilities.
