As the costs of food, transportation, and labor continue to rise, both parents and school nutrition programs are feeling financial pressure.  While families that qualify for free or reduced price meals are entitled to those meals, parents that are not eligible for free or reduced price meals sometimes struggle with being able to pay for school meals.

Dr. Brian Wansink, Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Center for Nutrition, Policy and Promotion, will speak at the 2009 Legislative Action Conference.  He will present during the 3rd general session on Monday, March 2, 2009.
