With the NIH Helix Systems, CIT is able to provide intramural researchers with a powerful scientific computing resource at minimal cost. For $25 a month registered users have unlimited access to scientific and general-purpose applications running on high- performance Linux computers. At no additional charge, those with special requirements for computationally intensive parallel processing can use the Biowulf Cluster. Application areas include molecular and structural biology, mathematical and graphical analysis, and other scientific fields. | |
