Light Imaging Section Core Facility 3
Abstract:
This photograph shows Nina Raben, M.D., Ph.D., talking about photographs of mouse muscles with Kristien Zaal, Ph.D., and Meghan Ahearn. The mouse muscle photogaphs were from a confocal microscope. In the background of this photo are confocal microscope images of mouse muscle on a computer screen. The mouse muscle is being investigated as part of research on Pompe syndrome, a disease that causes muscles to deteriorate. The principal investigator for this work is Paul H. Plotz, M.D., Chief of the NIAMS Arthritis and Rheumatism Branch. The photograph was taken in the Light Imaging Section Core Facility in room 1433 of Building 50 on the NIH Campus.
