(a) Product. U.S.P. methylcellulose, except that the methoxy content shall not be less than 27.5 percent and not more than 31.5 percent on a dry-weight basis. (b) Conditions of use. This substance is generally recognized as safe when used in accordance with good manufacturing practice.
