  • A portion of the   Pinhoti National Recreation is temporarily closed due to tornado damage. The closed portion is south of the Shoal Creek Ranger District office where the trail enters the forest off Highway 281, to north of Interstate 20 at Forest Service Road 519. The trail has been temporarily re-routed as a road walk along Highway 281 for approximately 3.2 miles.
  • Bankhead National Forest Flint Creek Multiple-Use Trail is now open.
  • Porters Gap Trailhead (off Highway 77) is now open to the public.
