Lincoln, Pryor, Berry Announce Funds for Community Medical Center of Izard County
 
WASHINGTON, D.C. –  U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative Marion Berry (AR-01) announced today that the Community Medical Center of Izard Countywill receive an $8,000 Rural Development grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The center will also receive a loan of $50,000. The funds will be used to purchase an ultrasound machine for the Department of Radiology.
 
“These funds will help ensure that patients at the Community Medical Center of Izard Countyreceive the best health care possible,” said Lincoln. “Staff members of the facility will now have better access to the resources and equipment they need to provide high-quality, effective care. Their patients deserve no less.”
 
“Top notch medical equipment is essential to Izard County patients and providers,” said Pryor.  “A new ultrasound machine will provide critical information as well as peace of mind.”
 
“An ultrasound machine will greatly improve the care the Medical Center of Izard County will be able to provide their patients,” said Berry.  “Access to the most up-to-date tools and equipment is essential for high quality health care. I commend the Community Medical Center of Izard County for seeking this funding, which will greatly benefit the local community.”
USDA Rural Development grants support public facilities and services, promote economic development, and offer technical assistance to help address the diverse and unique needs of rural communities.
