Berry, Along with Lincoln and Pryor, Announce funds for Elderly and Persons with Disabilities Bus Program

 
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) along with Senators Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln announced $85,680 for Arkansas’ First Congressional District in federal funding to supplement the elderly and persons with disabilities buses and vans program. 

 

Members of the Arkansas Congressional Delegation said the funding, part of a $10 million earmark the delegation secured in the Fiscal Year 2004 Omnibus Appropriations Act, will supplement the procurement of vans and small buses for Arkansas' community service organizations serving the elderly and persons with disabilities.

 

The following non-profit agencies are recipients:

Abilities Unlimited of Jonesboro, Inc., Jonesboro, AR                                       $25,200

Northeast Arkansas Community Mental Health Center, Inc., Jonesboro, AR     $30,400

Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches, Inc., Batesville, AR                                     $16,480

Woodruff County Nursing Home, McCrory, AR                                               $13,600
