Monterey Institute of International Studies. Center for Nonproliferation Studies
Monterey, California
Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), located at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, is the largest non-governmental organization in the United States devoted exclusively to research and training on nonproliferation issues. Its purpose is to contend against the spread of weapons of mass destruction. There are five research programs offered by the CNS: the Chemical and Biological Weapons Nonproliferation Program, the East Asia Nonproliferation Program, the International Organization and Nonproliferation Program, the Proliferation Research and Assessment Program, and the Newly Independent States Nonproliferation Program. Full text of the selected occasional papers are available for download from the organization's web site.
