Learn more about the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, one of the nation's top-ranked policy schools. Our Masters in Public Policy program offers rigorous graduate education to policy analysts and public managers, who become well-trained in the analysis of economic, political, and organizational issues. We also offer joint doctoral degrees with the U-M's Sociology, Economics, and Political Science Departments, along with a newly-launched undergraduate liberal arts degree in public policy. Wright Edelman, the founder and president of the Children’s Defense Fund, will deliver the Ford School’s 2009 Citigroup Foundation Lecture, hosted as part of the U-M’s 2009 MLK, Jr. Symposium. She will speak from her new book, The Sea Is So Wide and My Boat Is So Small: Charting a Course for the Next Generation, which she wrote as a call to action for all Americans to address the urgent needs of our country’s youth. Join us in Washington, DC for an Alumni Event

Thursday, January 29, 2009. 4-5:30 pm.

Come and hear from several fellow alums and (at least) two deans, participate in an active conversation about several key policy areas, and reconnect with old friends at the networking reception to follow. A large group of current Ford School MPP students will be in DC for the school’s annual recruiting trip.
