In 2001 Ann Telnaes became the second woman ever to win the Pulitzer
Prize for editorial cartooning. One of the few women in this highly competitive
field, Telnaes creates some of today's boldest political cartoons. This
exhibition celebrates Ann Telnaes's generous gift to the Library of Congress
of eighty-one original drawings that represent the range of themes that
engage this gifted artist who has recently emerged as a leader in American
editorial cartooning.
All drawings are gifts of the artist and are preserved in the Prints
and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. They are protected
by copyright.
