Media Advisory: Brewing Executive To Open Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship at the Library of Congress

WHAT: First of five lectures on "The American Entrepreneur: Models for the Future" sponsored by the Library of Congress Business Research Project.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 14, at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Library of Congress, Mumford Room, sixth floor of the Madison Building, 101 Independence Avenue, S.E.

WHO: James Koch, founder of the Boston Beer Company, producer of Samuel Adams beer, telling about the success of his 10-year-old company.

Other speakers will be Bruce Milliken, chief executive officer of Random Access, Denver, October 12; David Thompson, founder of Orbital Sciences, Chantilly, Va., November 2; Scott Wald, president of ASAP Software Express Inc., Buffalo Grove, Ill., November 9; and Catherine Candland, chief executive officer of Advantage Inc., Stamford, Conn., December 7, all at 7 p.m. in the Mumford Room. The programs are free and open to the public.

The Library's Business Research Project was established in 1993 with a gift from the Edward Lowe Foundation of Cassopolis, Mich., to stimulate entrepreneurship, productivity, and innovation, with emphasis on meeting information needs of small businesses.
