All Library of Congress Buildings Closed on Sundays

The Library of Congress recently announced that all reading rooms and buildings of the Library will be closed on Sundays as of March 6, 1994.

Please revise your calendar listings for current exhibitions at the Library of Congress to reflect the fact that the exhibitions are not open on Sundays.

General exhibition hours for the first floor galleries in the James Madison Memorial Building of the Library of Congress are 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

All other exhibition areas are open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
