Speaker Biography: David Maraniss, an associate editor of The Washington Post, has won several awards for writing, including the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1993. His critically acclaimed and best-selling books include "They Marched Into Sunlight: War and Peace in Vietnam and America, October 1967;" "When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi;" and "First in His Class: A Biography of Bill Clinton." His latest book is "Rome 1960: The Olympics That Changed the World" (Simon & Schuster, 2008). He lives in the District of Columbia.
