Tudor Place is the Georgetown estate of Martha Washington's granddaughter in the nation's capital, dating back to the 18th century. These handsome cufflinks are adapted from a pair given to Armistead Peter, Jr., as a Christmas gift circa 1880. He was the fifth generation of the Peter family to live at Tudor Place. The simple, yet intricate, design of the cuff button is startlingly modern in concept for its design in 1879.
