President Bush to Welcome President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of the Republic of Liberia to the White House

President Bush will welcome President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of the Republic of Liberia to the White House on October 18, 2007. The visit will provide an opportunity for the President to talk to President Johnson-Sirleaf about her nation's accomplishments nearly two years after Liberia's historic democratic election. The President will use the opportunity to reiterate the United States continued commitment to social, economic, and democratic progress in Liberia. The two leaders will also discuss cooperation in the areas of education, reconstruction, trade and investment, security sector reform, and debt relief.
