Seal Beach Summer Youth Camps


Youth Beach Volleyball Camp

This camp is ideal for Boys & Girls ages 10-15 yrs old, who want to take the fun of indoor volleyball out to the beach. This camp allows you to dive into the sand for some summer volleyball action. Experienced coaches from Seal Beach Volleyball Club will lead these one-week camps. Fundamentals taught then reinforced in games. All sessions will be held next to the south side of the Seal Beach Pier.

Long Beach Marine Institute Presents
Summer Ocean Adventure Camp

Hey kids ages 5 – 12! What are you doing this summer? Have you ever thought about becoming a marine scientist? You don’t have to wait until you’re all grown up to explore the ocean and experience marine life first-hand. Now you can get out and do the real thing. Join Long Beach Marine Institute for a 4-week ocean camp that really gets you feet wet. Learn the truths about the most feared predator in the ocean, sharks! Take a look at marine life in their natural underwater habitats while snorkeling, and cruise aboard a real oceanographic research vessel. Make this summer the most memorable one yet.

Mad Science Summer Day Camps

Calling all Girls & Boys 5-12 yrs old! Mad Science Summer Day Camps encourage informal learning through hands-on experience and are an innovative approach to teaching science to children. Exciting, interactive sessions provide children with top quality educational and entertaining science programs for children K-6 grade. Join us for this fun, safe and hands – on week of activities presented by dynamic instructors.

Summer Tennis Camp

A day on the courts includes light stretching and exercises to warm-up, relay races and agility drills to help improve and develop basic hand-eye coordination. Participants are divided by age and ability into small groups of eight students. Children work on the five basic tennis skills; forehands, backhands, volley, overheads and serves. A short snack break for fifteen minutes is provided and teaching continues with on-court games which help students develop movement skills and basic tennis strategy. On the last day of camp, a mini-tournament is held in each group to teach scoring and basic playing techniques. Trophies are awarded to the winners in each group.
