    event description:   Course: IAT provides a basic overview of COA's 8th Edition Standards, the COA process, and the fundamental organizational requirements for achieving accreditation status. Training will include instructions on how to develop the self-study document and tips and tools to facilitate a successful accreditation experience.

    event description:   Joint Council on International Children�s Services will hold its 2009 Conference at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis from Wednesday, March 25, 2009 to Saturday, March 28, 2009. Attendees may participate in any combination of the three events offered in Indianapolis�including an Adult Adoptee Institute; Medical Institute and two-day Conference.

    There will also be a performance and book signing by Alison Larkin, internationally acclaimed comedienne, adoptee and author of the best-selling novel The English American.

    Conference workshops will address topics such as adopting from foster care, human trafficking and international adoption of HIV+ orphans. Dixie van de Flier Davis, President and Executive Director of the Adoption Exchange, will keynote.
