Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual and designate one individual to serve in his administration:

The President intends to nominate Tina Westby Jonas, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller). Currently, she serves as Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Director of the Finance Division at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ms. Jonas previously served as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Financial Management at the Department of Defense. She earned her bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and her master's degree from Georgetown University.

The President intends to designate Patrick P. O'Carroll, Jr., of Maryland, to be Acting Inspector General of the Social Security Administration.
