The United Nations Development Program in Iraq. It provides the National Human Development Reports for 1995 and 2001 for Iraq. Its site includes information on the various projects it has been involved in this country.

“The University of Dohuk was established on October 31, 1992. During this time the Ba’ath Party had Iraqi universities deny admittance to Kurdish students.  The facilities at Salahaddin University in Erbil were insufficient to accommodate all Kurdish students wishing to continue their studies.  The economic situation also made transportation between Erbil and Dohuk difficult, especially in the winter season.”
