The Financial Management Service provides centralized customer service for the resolution of check claims filed by recipients of payments issued by the U.S. government as a result of entitlement programs and administrative programs.
June 1, 2006, was the implementation date for the Treasury Check Information System (TCIS), which replaced the Check Payment Reconciliation System (CP&R).
