Super Typhoon Imbudo
Moving west-northwest, Typhoon Imbudo approaches the southern coast of China on July 23, 2003. This Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image from the morning of July 23, shows the storm stretched out over the South China Sea. At that time, sustained winds were about 90 knots, or 104 mph.
