This is one of eight scrapbooks kept by suffragist Elizabeth Smith
Miller of Geneva, New York, and her daughter Anne Fitzhugh Miller
between 1897 and 1911. Elizabeth Miller was the daughter of the
abolitionist Gerrit Smith and a cousin of Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
She used $2,500 she raised from selling homemade marmalade for college
loans for women. The Millers organized the Geneva Political Equality
Club and represented it at national suffrage conventions and parades.
