| Notice to the Press Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC February 1, 2008 Senior Advisors to Brief Press on the Latest Developments in Iraqi Refugee and Special Immigrant Visa IssuesSenior Coordinator on Iraqi Refugee Issues Ambassador James Foley, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Tony Edson, and the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistant Secretary for Policy Stewart Baker will brief the press on developments in the Iraqi refugee and special immigrant visa (SIV) admissions programs. The briefing will take place on Monday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Public Affairs Conference Room 2208 at the Department of State. This briefing is ON-THE-RECORD / OFF CAMERA.
Media representatives planning to attend this briefing but who do not have a State Department building pass must enter through the 23rd Street entrance of the State Department building by 1:30 p.m. Attendees must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
