    Today the new U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Judith G. Garber presented credentials to the President of Latvia, Valdis Zatlers, at the Riga Castle. According to tradition, the Ambassador was accompanied by her family, U.S. Military Attaché as well as the most senior and most junior American embassy officers.

    On Saturday, August 22, the United States sent special greetings to Riga on the occasion of its 808th birthday – two United States Air Force F-15 fighter jets flew over the city. Before the flyover, Latvian and Riga City Officials had the opportunity to view the planes during a static display at Riga’s airport.
