    The U.S. Embassy's 8th Annual Made in the USA Exhibition was held August 14 and 15 at the Radisson Fort George Hotel and Marina in Belize City. The exhibition promoting American investments, products, and services in Belize was free to the general public and offered presentations on several investment topics.

    The Embassy of the United States of America hosted Dr. Caleb McClennen, Director of Marine Conservation at the Wildlife Conservation Society, as an Environmetal Speaker from August 12 - 15. During his visit, Dr. McClennen presented "Sustainable Development of Marine Resources in Small Develping Nations".

  • Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation 2009

    Chargé d'Affaires, a.i., J.A. Diffily presented Government House/House of Culture and the Institute of Archaeology with grants totaling over BZ$200,000 for cultural preservation projects.

Seven Belizeans Depart for the U.S. on Two Educational Exchange Programs
On July 22, the U.S. Embassy announced that three Belizeans will be studying in Massachusetts as part of the five-week Study of the United States Institutions (SUSI) Student Leaders Program, while four others are preparing to depart on a year-long Community College Initiative program, both sponsored by the Embassy of the United States of America.
