Online Archive
of Past American Folklife Center Events
Available from the following list are flyer essays, event website pages, photographs, and webcasts of presentations from past events. The materials available online will vary with each event. If an event was recorded for webcast, the webcast may not become available until six months or more after the event. In some instances part, but not all, of an event was recorded for webcast. Recordings may be available in the Folklife Reading Room for an event or parts of an event that were audio-recorded or videotaped, but not produced as a webcast. For currently scheduled events, go to the What's Happening at the American Folklife Center page.

National Visionary Leadership Project Collection Showcase Running time 55:53
The Library of Congress celebrated African American History Month in 2008 with its signature event — a showcase of the American Folklife Center's National Visionary Leadership Project (NVLP) Collection. The NVLP is a collection of oral life histories of extraordinary African American elders who have made significant contributions to American society, and the American Folklife Center is the official repository for these stories. [The link goes directly to the webcast of the event. Further information is available on that page.]
Northern Ireland Concerts and Lectures:

Symposia and Related Events Online Archive
