If you are receiving error messages in the 400 series (can't find the document) or 500 series (server errors), you need to speak to the technicians who maintain your Web server.
Web pages typically use port 80 on a Web server. Requests for a list of libraries are directed to a nonstandard port on a Library of Congress server and the reply is sent from that port. The Web server you are using may have nonstandard ports closed for security.
The requests to find a library and responses use this domain and port:
rs9.loc.gov:7778
Port 7778 on your server needs to accept http traffic.
