Inslee on economic stimulus agreement

24 January 2008

U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee made the following statement in response to a bipartisan agreement reached on sending tax rebates of at least $300 to working class Americans who earn up to $75,000 and couples who earn up to $150,000 as part of an economic stimulus package:

“This is a victory for bipartisanship.

“I’m pleased we secured a provision that would include 35 million of the lowest earning working families in the tax relief package. After seven years of wildly disproportionate tax policy, working Americans finally are getting a fair shake.”
