While Inslee voted against the overall energy legislation due to its significant subsidies for the oil, gas and coal industries, he was able to improve parts of the bill such as including ocean energy as one of the government’s priorities. |

After three days camped out on the banks of the Aichilik River 25 miles from the Arctic Ocean, and a full day touring the Prudhoe Bay oilfield, the answer became obvious. |
