Successful Amendments to the Energy Security Act (H.R. 2436)

During the Committee on Resources markup today, Inslee offered two successful amendments to the Energy Security Act. The amendments, which passed by voice vote, served to:

  1. Insert a section relating to enhancing energy efficiency in management of federal lands.To the extent possible, federal agencies that manage public lands shall use energy efficient technologies, including hybrid engine and biodiesel vehicles.
  2. Include the State of Alaska in a study of wind and solar power potential.
