INTERNSHIP INFORMATION
Internship Description
The internship program is designed to give students an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the responsibilities of a Congressional office through first-hand experience. This includes legislative research, constituent services, Capitol tours, mail processing and other duties. In addition, interns have an opportunity to observe committee hearings on a variety of issues, attend an impressive speakers' series designed for interns and accompany staff to various receptions hosted by trade associations in Washington DC.
Interns are responsible for their transportation to and from Washington DC as well as their housing. Interns are paid at the end of the month at a salary of $1,500 a month. Congressman Hall's intern coordinator, Lauren Massad, will be happy to provide interns with further information about housing options in Washington DC upon their acceptance of an internship offer.
