Washington, D.C. - Congressman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) issued the following statement on the Texas Department of Transportation’s decision to pull the plug on the Trans-Texas Corridor Project:
“Given the overwhelming public opposition to the Trans-Texas Corridor, this decision makes sense. As a fast-growing state, Texas has many mobility challenges still facing us. I look forward to working from the federal level with TxDot to move critical regional projects forward, like bringing U.S. Highway 59 up to interstate standards through east Texas.”
