SENATORS PROMISE GREATER SCRUTINY OF TVA
January 9 – Tennessee Rep. Zach Wamp said Congress should push to include dollars in an upcoming economic aid plan or in other spending bills. He said because heavy rains may have contributed to the breach, it should be considered as a disaster eligible for federal emergency money. "The federal government needs to look at this as more of a Katrina-like event," he said.
