Our military is strongest when it is made up of a volunteer force.  Since retention goals are being met, there is no need to reinstate a draft. I do support some form of compulsory national service for young people but a mandatory draft is not necessary at this time.

Our brave men and women in uniform need our thoughts, prayers, letters of encouragement, and moral support.  We must continue to display our patriotism to honor these weary, yet courageous soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines as they carry out their duties in a very dangerous part of the world.   They are working non-stop for our freedom and national security and we should be grateful for their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their families.
