LUCAS HIRES AREA FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Third District Congressman Frank Lucas has hired Garrett King to serve as his liaison for the eight-county area of his congressional district in west and southwest Oklahoma.

King began work this week as Congressman Lucas’ field representative for the area, encompassing Beckham, Caddo, Custer, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, and Washita Counties.

"Garrett has a big responsibility serving as my field representative," Lucas said, "he has to be on the ground when I’m in Washington, meeting with constituents from Weatherford to Anadarko to Altus and every town in between. His background and enthusiasm are going to be a great asset to my office."

King is completing his studies in political science and history at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he has been active in student governance and leadership. He graduated from Binger-Oney High School, and was raised on his family’s peanut farm/beef cattle operation in Caddo County.

King is the son of Gary and Lisa King of Binger, and is the grandson of Dora Jean and the late Raymon Brownen of Binger and Floyd and the late Lola King of Eakly.

"This is an exciting opportunity for me to help my congressman represent the area where I grew up," King said.

As field representative, King will act as a grassroots representative for Congressman Lucas, keeping the congressman informed on developments in the area and attending events on Lucas’ behalf when he is in Washington.

Congressman Lucas’ Oklahoma offices help provide the a myriad of constituent services, including:

- Request an American flag be flown over the U.S. Capitol for a constituent in recognition of an anniversary, birthday, or military service.
