Bob Edwards
Heard daily by millions of listeners, Bob Edwards joined National Public Radio in 1974 and has hosted Morning Edition since its premier in 1979. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he began his career in radio and worked in both radio and television news before joining NPR and co-hosting All Things Considered. In 1999 he earned a George Foster Peabody Award for excellence in radio. Mr. Edwards is the author of Fridays With Red: A Radio Friendship (1993) based on his Friday morning radio interviews with renowned broadcaster Red Barber.
