The 275-acre campus is located at Pueblo, a dynamic community in the culturally diverse region of south-central Colorado. The University enrolls 4,000 students in twenty-nine undergraduate and six graduate programs with approximately 500 full-time faculty and staff. CSU-Pueblo was designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution by the Department of Education in 1999. The University is a national model for qualitative change and academic excellence, and has a demonstrated commitment to K-16 education and partnerships with the community and region.
Recreational opportunities include several golf courses, Lake Pueblo - a large reservoir for sailing and boating, and an extensive river trail system for hikers and cyclists.
