Update Your Computer for Changes in Daylight Savings Time

Beginning this year, Daylight Savings Time (DST) will begin at 2 A.M. on Sunday March 11, 2007, which is three weeks earlier than usual. It will also end one week later (November 4, 2007).  The change in DST will affect computers and wireless devices, as current programming will not know to automatically adjust the time on the new start and end dates.  It is important that all users update their computers for this time change.

It is also very important to be on the lookout for possible scams during the next two weeks.  Consumers can likely expect email offers from scam artists pretending to be banks or credit card companies promising to fix the DST problem.  Do not give away personal or financial information.  If you have any questions about DST problems with a company or institution, you should call them directly or visit their website.
