Upton to Announce Major Funding for KVCC Life Science Initiative
Upton secured the funding in the Congressional health spending bill to enhance drug discovery program
KALAMAZOO, MI – Tomorrow morning, Friday, April 18th, Congressman Fred Upton (R-St. Joseph) will join the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Board of Trustees to announce major funding to boost the institution’s life sciences initiatives. KVCC is at the cutting edge of health research, and this funding will greatly enhance the institution’s drug discovery efforts conducted at the Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TEC) of KVCC. Upton secured the important funding in the Labor, Health and Human Services spending bill to expand KVCC’s program that supports the pharmaceutical sector with testing facilities and supports patent applications.
