Class of 2011 Service Academy Appointments

Rep. Levin is pleased to announce that the following students he nominated to the U.S. Service Academies for the class of 2011 were offered appointments and have accepted:

Alexander Hillman of Clinton Township will be attending the U.S. Air Force Academy. Alexander is graduating from De La Salle High School in Warren, where he is a member of the National Honor Society and maintains a 3.9 GPA. He also played four years of varsity football, and helped lead the team to the state championship game as a captain his senior year. While at De La Salle, he performed as a concert pianist, show choir vocalist, and was lead role in drama club productions.

Stacie Burak of Sterling Heights will be attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Stacie is graduating from Cousino High School in Warren, where she has maintained a 3.85 GPA and is an accomplished member of the school’s marching band. She has earned the Presidential Physical Fitness and Presidential Academic Excellence awards. As a member of the Macomb County Young Marines, she achieved the rank of Corporal.

Students will report to their respective Academies in July.
