Micron Chief Executive Steve Appleton was back in Taiwan last week, talking about partnerships or even a merger with Micron's Taiwanese partner that could bring Taiwan government-bailout money to the Boise company, according to Forbes magazine. Micron has a joint venture with Nanya Technology Corp. called MeiYa Technology Corp. It is Appleton's second trip to Taiwan in the past month.
